wouldn’t have chosen for yourself?

Coming Soon: Hold Hope By Olivia Feller

Hold Hope is a heartfelt journey into the realities of chronic pain and illness, where dreams feel derailed and the future seems uncertain. Olivia Feller invites you to walk with her through the valleys of suffering and the questions that arise when life takes an unexpected turn. This book isn’t just another guide; it’s a companion for those moments when you feel most alone, offering a hand to hold and a voice that understands.

Does God Care?

It’s easy to feel forgotten in the midst of pain, to wonder if God really sees you. In Hold Hope, Olivia shares her personal struggle with this question, reflecting on the fear and doubt that often accompany prolonged suffering. With honesty and vulnerability, she explores the depths of God’s character, reminding us that we can trust Him—even when our circumstances suggest otherwise. Through her journey, Olivia helps us see that God is not distant; He’s a loving Father who offers us more than we could ever imagine.

Life Isn’t Paused—It’s Just Different

At one point, Olivia almost named this book Pain that Pauses. But as she continued to write, she realized that this title didn’t capture the truth she had discovered. Life with chronic pain may look different, but it isn’t on hold. Hold Hope challenges us to embrace the life we have right now, finding meaning and purpose in the midst of suffering. Olivia encourages readers to dream differently, to shift their “what ifs” to “even ifs,” and to trust God’s plan, even when it doesn’t align with their own.

Longing to Be Understood

Do you ever feel like nobody truly gets what you’re going through? Olivia’s candid reflections on the deep desire to be understood strike at the heart of our shared human experience. She acknowledges the loneliness that comes with chronic pain but also points to the One who knows us completely. In God, we find the understanding and validation we so desperately seek. Hold Hope offers readers a sense of connection, while also gently redirecting them to the ultimate source of comfort and understanding.

Discover the Hope Beyond the Pain

Hold Hope is not just a book; it’s a source of strength for those navigating the complexities of chronic illness. With compassion and grace, Olivia Feller invites you to join her in finding hope, even in the darkest of times. Whether you’re seeking answers, comfort, or simply someone who understands, this book is for you.

A Pen-Pal For Your Journey

Hold Hope isn’t just a book—it’s a collection of heartfelt letters from someone who understands. Think of Olivia as a pen-pal of sorts, sharing what she wishes someone would’ve told her at different points in her journey. Each letter is written with you in mind, offering the words of encouragement, comfort, and hope that Olivia needed when she was navigating the challenges of chronic pain and illness.

A Note From Phy:

“I didn’t realize I was ill until after my first daughter was born. A few days later, my body erupted in a blistering rash—from my feet to my chest, neck, and hands. I was covered in hives and blisters, lying in agony on the couch, too blistered to move. The pain was overwhelming, and caring for my newborn became a daily battle. It took nearly a year before a kind doctor finally identified my condition: Pemphigoid Gestationis. No cure. And likely to worsen with every pregnancy. Reading Hold Hope brought me back to those days of uncertainty and pain. Olivia’s words are a balm to anyone struggling through the unseen battles of chronic illness. She reminds us that even in the darkest moments, there is hope to be found, and life can be lived—fully and bravely—right where we are.”

Excerpt from Hold Hope:

“Does God Care?

Know this: we can trust God. Sometimes we get a cynical view.

I’ve been tempted to stop asking God for patience in fear of him lengthening my trial. I’ve avoided asking Him to build my reliance on Him in fear that He would take away the people who comfort me. I’ve struggled to thank God for what He’s taught me through this trial in fear that He might “think I don’t mind” and leave it in my life. My view of Him is so small. I don’t realize that what He’s offering me in the end is better than the mediocrity I’m trying to keep by avoiding growth. As He grows us, we get to reap the benefits of that growth in this life. There is deep value in spiritual formation. And these fears neglect to take into account the character of God. He isn’t a vending machine, but He is a
loving Father with our best interest in mind.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!—Matthew 7:7-11

He’s not giving rocks and snakes when we ask for bread and fish. He’s not out to trick us. He’s not offering us blessings and then withholding them from us. When I think of God as my Father, as my Caring Dad, a lot of fears melt away.

This isn’t a God who doesn’t care. He keeps track of every tear. And He has a way of turning the valley of tears into pools of blessing…”
