How to Reset a Bad Day

This week on Uniquely Woman,  Lisa and I discuss ways to step back and breathe, get perspective, and take charge of your emotions. We’ll discuss how to look up and ahead, cultivate gratitude, and pour out your heart to God – not vent to the nearest listening ear. Below are the show notes!

Keep an eternal perspective.
Read or listen to something that reminds you of the purpose of your work.

2. Just breathe.
Take a break. If possible, physically go somewhere else. Eat lunch in your car, take the kids to the park.
Enjoy a favorite drink or snack.

3. Look up.
Venting doesn’t help; take your problems to Jesus instead.
Practice gratitude. This is a discipline that changes our mindset.
Play inspiring or upbeat music.

4. Look ahead.
This is only a season. “This too shall pass.”
“Do the next thing.” Elisabeth Elliot (really thought the quote was longer than that.) If you feel overwhelmed by the list, keeping doing the next thing until the day is over.
